U-Prove is a token based authentication framework, similar to a PKI certificate that can encode attributes of any type. U-Prove is a privacy-enhancing technology (PET) based on cryptographical protocols to minimize the information data flow from the user to the Relying Party. It also prevents the user from getting profiled by Relying Parties. Combining U-Prove with a plastic ID card (smartcard) to increase the level of assurance (LoA) during the authentication process.

During this talk I am going to show you, what U-Prove really does and how you could integrate U-Prove into an existing Hub&Spoke Identity Federation and help your users to protect and hold their personally identifiable information (PII) by themselves.
